This... possible was the hardest decision on the whole series.
Fei is a character that wasn´t in the original concept of the series, it was really created for the comic, actually when was drawing Chapter 2, when I did his silluette, he was going to be younger but it was better to go with an older dragon.
Illusion originally was from the 2005 concepts as almost everybody, and didn´t changed a bit except for the clothes that originally was just a white bikini with a cape. But her name was just decided when Fei said it.
Their whole target in the series was to defeat Ruster for their friends, even being powerful, was too much for their aged bodies. Farewell to the dear dragons.
